East Bay Dads

Hello and Welcome to the East Bay Dads!

The East Bay Dads is a community of fathers with infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and school-aged children from all over the SF East Bay. We meet up for weekly playgroups, hikes, trips to the zoo plus the occasional bar night. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where our children can develop their social skills and we can hang out with other dads. It's about the kids and the Dads!

There's no commitment and no cost. We always welcome new dads.

Simply drop-in on a playgroup or to register on the site click on the Login / Register link in the upper left corner. Once your account is activated, you can participate in the Discussion Forums and the rest of the site.

Check out the Calendar for our next event.

Holiday Cheer -- East Bay Dads style

The East Bay Dads have sponsored a family!

Many people here in the East Bay are struggling to survive, let alone enjoy the holidays.
I found an organization, Family Support Services that reaches out to troubled families and tries to make a difference.
They do their best to keep families together and offer an array of services to help out.
The organization has families create a wish list, and then has a person or group sponsor them by purchasing (or bartering, stealing etc.) items
from the list. We have sponsored a family who needs everything from
BART passes to sweatshirts to dolls and video games. You can also just
get a gift card in whatever denomination you like from the family's
list. Of course, all donations are fully tax deductible. Donations
need to be made by December 17 in downtown Oakland, but I will offer to
come to you and pick up if need be. If you would like to help out the
cause, shoot me an email at phschwartz@yahoo.com and I can give you an
assignment and the details. Let's help an East Bay family this year and
make a difference if only for a day.

Are you with me?
Happy Holidays to all,
Paul Schwartz
