Hey Gang, I know that I haven't been around that much, but I wanted to check in to see if dads in the group were interested in adopting a family this year. We have done this in the past and I thought It worked out pretty well. Amy and I are currently using a group called Brighter Beginnings, an organization that helps families in poverty become stronger. Their motto is “Every family matters. And every child deserves a happy, healthy future.”

A good friend of ours works there, so I can attest the really awesome work they do. If I can get at least 8 dads willing to purchase a $20-30 gift for a family, I will sign us up. I will get the family info (I will ask for a single dad family or a family with a dad who has some challenges to overcome) dole out the assignments and even pick up the stuff from you. That means you would only have to purchase 1 additional gift when you are out shopping for your own family. Easy peazy lemon squeezy. Chime in if you are interested and let's make this happen.
