Hey all,

A TV executive / producer from TLC, a Discovery Network Channel contacted me and they're interested in doing a reality show following a dads group. This would be in the same TV genre as "John & Kate Plus 8", "Little People, Big World", etc.

They're specifically interested in the more active members, i.e. the Monday regulars but I'm sure they would be willing to follow anyone who makes for good TV. Like if you have a compelling story or perspective: adoption, diversity, single, gay, special needs child, etc.

My assignment is to do a Casting / Intro video for the group and individuals:

"Hi My name is"

       a. Hi my name is and these are my kid(s)...
      b. I've been in the group for.... I joined because....
      c.  I'm a stay at home dad because...
      d. Best/hardest thing about being a stay at home dad...

I'll paraphrase our own Seth Tator when I say: "the hardest part of being an at-home dad is the lactating". I do believe he received a censure notice from La Leche League for that one.

They want some footage of a monday playgroup. I'm not sure how I'm going to do that with Megan in school. Maybe we can meet on weekend or some afternoon to do this, for those interested.

Or..... myabe I can appeal to the powers that be in the EBD (Paul and Charrette), beg for mercy and ask that they select a playground in Lafayette for an upcoming Monday playgroup...... I'll bring the beers.

After his cathartic, heart felt, emotional confession (page 22)for the print media I'm assuming Charrette is in. Just another way to show Jen that he's a valued member of society....

This seems a lot more serious and compelling than when I talked to Bravo about a "House Husbands of the East Bay" show..... not kidding. They decided to go a diffferent direction. We didn't have enough big-money drama. I think fake boobs and a Mercedes were required for that one.
