Walk Oakland Bike Oakland invites you to participate in:

Oakland Kidical Mass

A social ride for anyone interested in a kid-friendly, mellow bike ride. Expect a leisurely pace and relaxed atmosphere.  Where you’ll get to know others who move their families around Oakland by bike. Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult to participate.

Plan to picnic at our destination if the weather is nice.  Consider planning on finding a suitable restaurant for a group if the weather is not suitable for picnicking.
Depart around 10:45 am

Ride to:
Union Point Park
2311 Embarcadero Oakland, CA

Optional Additional destination/activity:
Oakland Holiday Parade starts at 2:00 pm
Broadway and 11th Street to 20th Street, to Harrison Street

May 1 ( I'll be out of town for this one, anyone want to be responsible for the planning and making sure everyone signs the WOBO waiver on the day of the ride?)

Rides normally meet up at 10 am and begin at 11 am.
Details will come as dates approach.  If you have an idea for a particular month feel free to send along the idea.

Lafayette Community Park is a secluded park with a brand spanking new play structure. From the street you can only see the parking lot. You'll need to cross a pedestrian bridge in the back left corner of the lot to access the park.

Nice park situated on the famed San Leandro coast - the East Bay Riviera, if you will. Grills, tables, play structure and a massive field for Malcolm and Luke to tackle each other on.  Airplanes fly right above you on their decent to nearby Oakland International. Also a nice bayside path with sweet views of the city.

To get there, exit 880 on Marina Blvd. westbound. Follow Marina Blvd. all the way to the end where it will veer to the left onto Monarch Bay Dr. Follow Monarch Bay Dr. past Fairway Dr. Marina Park will be on the right.
