East Bay Dads head across the bridge to once again visit beautiful Benicia. City Park (aka Jensen Park, aka the Wooden Park) is located on West K Street between 1st St. and W. 2nd in Benicia. The park has a huge wooden play structure, grassy field, grills and restrooms.

How about Brookwood Park? It's at the corner of Taylor Blvd & Winters in Pleasant Hill. We discussed another park in PH on Monday but it doesn't seem to have much in the way of amenities. I haven't been there but it looks nice. I'll bring some dogs, fruit, and chips. Where are all the old timers? Charette, Darren, Brad, Luke, Frank, Brad? Don't tell me you're all hangers on of that ne'er do well Paul.

Codornices Park (Berkeley) - Codornices Park is in the North Berkeley hills. There's a nice playground, some nice grass, pretty trees, a dank echoey tunnel, and an epic concrete slide for the braver kids (and dads). To get to Codornices, take your favorite route to the north side of the Berkeley campus. Head North on Euclid. Go up Euclid until you get to where the Rose Garden is on your left and Cordinices park is on your right. We'll meet at the playground, which is in a valley at the northern end of the park, where the path from the sidewalk goes DOWN to the playground.
